December 2023, we packed our suitcases, took a taxi to Heathrow T5 and started our epic road trip across 3 states, driving over 1000 miles and staying in 8 hotels.
1st stop – The Four Seasons, San Francisco.
3 nights in this wonderfully located building, a stone throw away from Union Square and a short walk down to the Ferry Building. Looking back at my experience, it was perhaps not the most entertaining or inspiring of Four Seasons. I missed the usual personalised, welcome sweet treat in the room. Decor wise, the room was quite dated, however the city view and lush bedsheets made up for this. The bathroom, as you would expect was a beautiful marble finish with luxe products. Noting we travelled with a child, I missed the kids amenities and had to request these. Aside from these minor details, our stay was lovely and everything you would expect from the hotel Brand.
As with most of our US trip hotels, we booked using the AMEX Platinum Fine hotels & Resorts, ensuring we had a room upgrade, resort credit and a breakfast allowance. I must say, this was by far the most expensive for Breakfast vs the allowance, out of the 3 Four Seasons stays on our trip.
A must visit: https://maisonnico.com/ if you are traveling in from Europe and missing a beautiful and well made croissant, this is the place to visit! An authentic taste of Paris in heart of San Francisco.
